INTWT : We start this Interview with:How did Rap or Music become one of the most important and predominant thing in your life? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : I started out as a singer. Been singing from infancy. I decided to rap cos of the hiphop influence. I just love Music. I realized I had a talent for making music and I decided to pursue it as a career after SSS in 2009 #INTWT
INTWT : So as you made that decision, was everyone ok with it? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : some of my family members frowned upon it cos of our strong Christian faith but with time they got used to it #INTWT
INTWT : So did you stop your schooling entirely to concentrate on your career? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : no. After SSS I had sometime on my hands to start making music frequently. Did so and then entered the University .I made music and schooled simultaneously in Uni. I'm currently on a lil break cos I'm in my final year at GIJ #INTWT
INTWT : what shs did u attend? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : Labone
INTWT : So how did you use to cope with that incredible stress from both the school and the Stress machine that is music? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : frankly speaking its very hectic but I been doing that specifically for about 2years. I sometimes miss lectures And some studio sessions as well. Its all about time management. So its been ok for me. #INTWT
INTWT : how did you come by the name Barima Pages.. #INTWT
@BarimaPages : some friends o mine called me "Pages" cos I loved to read. I decided to add "Barima" for an original feel #INTWT
INTWT : When you are writing your lyrics, do you usually get in that so-called zone? If yes, how do you do that? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : I write most of my songs late in the night. From 11pm onwards. I love the tranquility during that time of the day...I plug my earphones and play the instrumental for about 15mins. That's to psyche me up. Afterwards I sit down and write #INTWT
@BarimaPages : Music is like a mirror. It reflects the lives of the Artiste and the Society. It is used to send various messages across...I write my songs based on my feelings. I usually send messages of Love, Hope and Determination to my listeners...with songs like "Perfect 2" "I Pray" and "Get There" respectively
INTWT : Do you believe in the 'product' that is the music can sell itself or the 'promotion' is the only way to send it across #INTWT
@BarimaPages : A lot of factors come in here. If the artiste is already very known, there won't be the need for massive promo the music will sell itself but if the artiste is wallowing in obscurity, massive promotion is very necessary #INTWT
INTWT : Who in the industry are the artists you respect and look up to the most? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : I respect Kojo Cue, Kay Ara and Klu very much! Their advice has helped me improve my skills and stay focused.However, my fav musician is Drake I vibe with his music plus I rap and sing too. #INTWT
INTWT : What is your ultimate goal to reach in your career? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : to get my music acknowledged ousite Ghana not just in Africa but worldwide #INTWT
INTWT : Let's get a little personal shall we..What do you like eating? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : currently my fav meal is Indomie. I love it. Prolly cos its delicious and easy to cook #INTWT
INTWT : Going a lot deep now.lol..They say creativity is linked to a hidden love of sex..Is it the case with you? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : hahaha that's some silly theory. Its doesn't apply to me. #INTWT

@BarimaPages : I love voluptuous ladies. Once she's curvaceous we good! #INTWT
INTWT : Ok let's get back to your career..What was the best advice you ever got about your music and by who? #INWT
@BarimaPages : Kojo Cue adviced me to put all my frustrations and pain in my music. I later recorded "My Story" & folks loved it a lot! #INTWT
INTWT : If you were given one word to describe the type of music you do..what word would that be? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : "Mellifluous" #INTWT
INTWT : What kind of instrumental are you the most at ease on when rapping? And Instrument as well? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : I love instrumentals with "strings" in it. That emotional feel psyches me up and puts me in the mood to rap #INTWT
INTWT : Do you write your lyrics with the beat on or you do it without it? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : I Mostly write with the beat #INTWT
INTWT : Are you a good freestyler? Can you relay messages perfectly and form impeccable sentences spontaneously? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : haha I'm not a good freestyler. Occasionally my "off the tops" are quite smooth esp when I'm "high" or drunk #INTWT
INTWT : What is your take on smoking 'Marijuana' Do you think it is a bad thing or a good thing? And should it be legalized? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : I'm not gonna say if it is a bad or good thing. Everybody has a choice in life. Some love it others don't. its been legalized recently in Uruguay. #INTWT
INTWT : So which group do YOU belong too...#INTWT
@BarimaPages : *next question* lol haha I quit smoking. I just don't wanna get into anyone's "bad books" for denouncing something they love #INTWT
INTWT : As an artist..Do u feel other artists..Made artists dat is don't wnt u to succeed..Coz in so doing you take their spot? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : haha. Interesting question. Greed is an element in every trade or discipline. I sometimes get that feeling Some underground rappers are way better than some "mainstream" artistes. These "Big" artistes sometimes don't wanna work with The underground artistes because they fear they would overshadow em. Its really happening. #INTWT
INTWT : Do you feel DJs could do a way better job with the Radio these days? (Not pointing fingers) #INTWT
@BarimaPages : I think they doing a great job. The only issue I got with DJs in Ghana is the "Payola" mayne! They gotta respect ethics #INTWT
INTWT : Tell us more about 'Payola'..Some of ur fans aren't from GH, so break it down a little for your international listeners.#INTWT
@BarimaPages : "Payola" is basically about DJs taking money from Artistes before playing their songs on radio. Its kinda hard one some artistes considering the fact that the sums they demand are quite huge. #INTWT
INTWT : So in oda words..If your music cn change people's lives for the beder, dey'll nvr gt 2 hear it nd be saved cause of DJs? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : not neccessarily. There are other channels to promote music but radio is a much more better platform. #INTWTINTWT : How much do you think the internet helped artists in GH? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : The internet has given a lotta artistes an opportunity to spread their music easily without condoning "Payola". Globalization is a beautiful thing. Via the internet I have been able to amass a number of listers across Africa with promo sites like @MusicofAfrica I got people in Zimbabwe, Malawi , South Africa and Nigeria listening to my music #INTWT
INTWT : Which social media did you start with..Twitter, facebook, hi5? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : haha I started with Hi5. Wasn't so active. Moved to Facebook and eventually fell in Love with @Twitter #INTWT
INTWT : What about youtube? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : I don't have an official video yet but I got songs of mine on Youtube uploaded by some websites on their Youtube Channels #INTWT
INTWT : Gud..You have heard @ELrepGH 's Ayaaya right? What do you think of the track? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : Its a nice song! I admire EL. He's a great rapper and he composes good songs. #INTWT
INTWT : Do u feel he has disappointed his Day1 fans that use to listen to him do rap songs with his new style? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : nope! He's rather shown his versatility by switching genres. He can still rap and he does so! #INTWT
INTWT : What are the other things you love doing apart from writing rimes and obviously..playing b-ball lol? #INTWT
@BarimaPages : Lol I love to hang out with my homie @naughty_edwin and Play video games esp FIFA #INTWT
INTWT : Who annoys you the most in the music industry? Both personality and music? #GH #INTWT
@BarimaPages : haha dude! I'm not tryna have a vendetta with anybody. I'd rather keep that to myself or disclose it in secret #INTWT
